Krewe of Town Revelers announces 2016 Carnival Ball theme

The Krewe of Town Revelers annual Carnival Ball is a production unlike any other, often taking guests through an amazing and imaginative journey.
“Our members have talent! And it’s showcased during this event that draws and astounds hundreds of people each year,” says Laurie Suire, this year’s ball director.
With the theme “CIMMERSONIAN: Masquerade at the Museum,” the 2016 celebration will feature court members as Museum Exhibits.
“Have you been in a museum and felt the creepy glass eyes of the exhibits follow you? Do you ever wonder what it might be like to be in that museum at night and if those exhibits really do come to life? Wonder no more, because in the CIMMERSONIAN that is what happens,” explains Suire.
A large crowd attended the recent family-oriented announcement event held at the Crowley Town Club and enjoyed games and socializing as they discussed plans for the upcoming Mardi Gras season.
The “Masterpiece Menu” Buffet followed the theme and featured selections that included Andy Warhol Soup, Salvador Dali Salad Bar, Picasso Pork Tenderloin, Monet Mardi Gras Rice, Starry Night Sweet Potato Patties and Bosch Broccoli. Completing the Masterpiece Menu were beverage choices of Blue Dog or Van Gogh.
The younger guests enjoyed “Dinosaur Dining” that included Brontosaurus Burgers, Dino Dogs, Tricera-Tots, Woolly Mammoth Munchies, Saber-Tooth Smoothies and Ice Age Ice Cream.
Ball Director Suire promises a fun-filled night with costumes, music and entertainment at the Krewe of Town Revelers 2016 Carnival Ball set for Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. at the International Rice Festival Building in Crowley.
