Davis-Allen, Lawson to wed July 30

Alton and Courtney Allen of Crowley are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Shannon Danielle Davis-Allen of Houston, Texas, to Gregory Cyril Edward Allen Hans Lawson of Houston.
The bride-elect is also the daughter of Randy Davis of Sugarland, Texas. She is the granddaughter of the late Willie and Shirley Gantt of Estherwood, the late Alton and Willie Mae Allen of Crowley and the late Earl and Ethelynn Davis of Jennings.
Shannon graduated from Midland High School in 1998 before attending McNeese State University. She holds an associate degree from Acadiana Technical College.
The prospective groom is the son of Frederick A. Lawson of Kingwood, Texas, and Cassandra H. Harris of Orange, New Jersey. He is the grandson of the late Rev. Edward and Irene Hollands and the late Aaron and Thelma Lawson, all of Nashville, Tennessee,
Gregory attended Seton Hall Preparatory High School in Orange before attending National University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration and a Master of Arts degree in management. He served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps from 1988 to 1998 and is presently employed with FedEx Ground in Houston.
The couple will be wed on Saturday, July 30, during a 6 p.m. ceremony officiated by Minister Angela Lawson at the Grand Marais Ballroom in Jennings.
Following their wedding, the couple will reside in Houston.
