Hensgens, Anzalone set Feb. 13 wedding date

Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Joseph Hensgens Sr. are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Mary Gayle Hensgens of Crowley, to Charles Lane Anzalone Jr. of Houston, Texas.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Braxton Isham Moody III of Crowley and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Nicholas Hensgens Sr. of Mowata.

She graduated from Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish before earning a Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University, where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. She is presently employed at Rayne Catholic Elementary.

The groom-elect is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Charles Lane Anzalone Sr. of Crowley. His maternal grandparents are Mrs. Shirley Chambers Cassidy of Crowley, formerly of Jennings, and the late Mr. Edward Thomas Cassidy Jr. His paternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Vincent Anzalone Sr. of Monroe.

Lane is a graduate of Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish and of Louisiana State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biological engineering, where he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. He is presently pursuing a Doctorate of Medicine degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston and will graduate in May.

The couple will be wed on Friday, Feb. 13, at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Lafayette. Rev. Msgr. Keith DeRouen will officiate the 7 p.m. nuptial ceremony.
