Election 2015 Results: Edwards wins governor's race

Contentious as it was, the governor's race in Louisiana came to a close in the early morning hours of Sunday with David Vitter conceding the race to John Bel Edwards and his eventual 56 percent of the vote.
Over 1.1 million voted in the governor's race for an unofficial turnout of less than 40 percent.
In other state races, "Billy" Nungesser was elected in the runoff over Melvin "Kip" Holden. Nungesser pulled 55 percent to Holden's 45 percent.
"Jeff" Landry defeated incumbent James "Buddy" Caldwell in the Louisiana attorney general's race. Landry won with 56 percent of the vote.
