APSO investigation into burglary yields 3 arrests

Juvenile among suspects arrested in incident

Deputies with the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office have completed an investigation into an aggravated burglary which occurred in the 6200 block of Standard Mill Road near Rayne.
The investigation began on Aug. 3.
“This investigation began with information believing that the crime had occurred in the Duson area. After working with the Duson Police Department it was discovered that the actual crime occurred in Acadia Parish. Duson Police and our deputies were able to identified three subjects who were involved in this crime. As of today, all three individuals have been arrested,” stated Sheriff KP Gibson.
The three subjects committed a burglary and stole numerous items including firearms. The investigation led to a residence in Crowley, where property was recovered and arrests were made.
Further investigation led to the arrest of the remaining suspect in this case.
Arrested were Harlen Nugent, 23, of Rayne, Dylan Meaux, 19, of Crowley and a juvenile male.
Harlen Nugent was charged with aggravated burglary, six counts of convicted felon in possession of firearms, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and resisting arrest
Dylan Meaux was charged with aggravated burglary and carrying a concealed weapon.
The juvenile involved in this case was charged with aggravated burglary
