Rayne City Crews Clear Monday Morning Storm Debris

A number of large trees were toppled Monday in the early daylight hours, causing damage throughout the City of Rayne.
The Boulevard at Central Rayne Kindergarten was remains closed due to a large oak falling and damaging major power lines, posts and signs.
The Cantrel home on Cunningham nearly missed a large oak falling on their home; instead, blocking the intersection.
In addition, a number of roofs were damaged with the 60 MPH straight-line winds, hail and rain.
Residents are asked to avoid damaged sections so work crews and homeowners can make repairs and clear debris.
