Zachary Daniel Miller

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 28, 2014 at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for Zachary “Jonezzz” Daniel Miller, 20, who died Friday, July 25, 2014 at the Acadia General Hospital.

Fr. Mikel Polson, Pastor will celebrate the Mass and Fr. Aaron Melancon will concelebrate. Visitation may be observed on Sunday from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. until service time. The Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Sunday and the burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery

Zach was born March 5, 1994 in Lafayette. He was a lifelong member of Saint Michael Catholic Church. He was a 2008 graduate of Saint Michael Elementary and a 2012 graduate of Notre Dame High School. He was a member of the 2009 Pioneer State Champion Football Team. He was attending UL Lafayette studying Exercise Science. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends, playing Frisbee golf, working out, listening to and creating music.  Zach also enjoyed fishing and riding 4-wheelers at the pond with his brothers Alex, Logan and Ross. 

He is survived by his mother, Anna C. Arceneaux of Crowley; his father Danny Miller and wife, Kristi of Rayne; three brothers, Alex Wayne Miller of Alaska, Logan Michael Miller of Scott and Ross Edward Miller of Rayne; his paternal grandparents Jim Miller, Sr. of Egan, Percy and Barbara Sonnier and Carl and Lois Brougham all of Crowley.  Zach also leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.  

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Elaine C. Arceneaux and Elton A. Arceneaux, Jr.; paternal grandmother, Norma Lou Oliver Miller; a brother, Daniel Oliver Miller II and a cousin, Caitlin M. Hetzel.
