Alverda Bertrand LaFleur

A Celebration of Life will be Celebrated at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at 2:00 pm for Alverda LaFleur who died Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice at 82. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Deacon David Guillory officiating.

She is survived by her three sons, Raven LaFleur and wife, Leila of Eunice, James LaFleur and wife, Jackie of Ville Platte, and Steven LaFleur of Eunice; four daughters, Margaretta Bergeron and husband, Donald of Basile, Nita DeRanger and husband, Mike, Charlene Gatte and husband, Carl, and Abigail Gartman and husband, Ronnie, all of Eunice; two brothers, Clayton Bertrand of Eunice and Allen Bertrand of Mermentau; three sisters, Mary Jane Blanchard of Eunice, Patrella Bertrand of Basile and Clerda Miller of Egan; 15 grandchildren,21 great grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Lee LaFleur; her daughter, Brenda Thibodeaux; and her parents, Oday and Ava LeJeune Bertrand.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 from 3:30 pm until time of services on Wednesday. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Tuesday.
