Bobby Ray Louviere

JENNINGS – Services for Bobby Ray Louviere, 64, will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Matthews & Son Funeral Home in Jennings with Rev Jimmy Broussard officiating. He died Monday, September 8 at his residence in Estherwood. He was born in Jennings to Louis John and Verna Gary Louviere.

A rosary was recited on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m.

He will be laid to rest in the Doucet Cemetery with full military rites.

Mr. Louviere was a retired truck driver and also served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the VFW 3638 in Jennings and also the American Legion Post in Crowley. He loved to ride horses and participate in the Mardi Gras.

Survivors include his spouse, Nancy Kratzer Louviere of Estherwood; his mother, Verna Gary of Jennings; three sons, Bobby Louviere, Jr. of Gueydan, Calvin James Doucet, Sr. of Kaplan, and Robert Dale Doucet of Lafayette; four daughters, Rebecca Vincent and husband Eddie of Morse, Buffy Suire and husband Richard of Kaplan, Shirley Guillory and companion Marty Bonin of Gueydan, and Tina Guidry of Kaplan; four sisters, Lorita Breaux, Toby LeJeune, and Janet Daigle all of Hathaway, and Becky Istre of Estherwood; sixteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Joshua Louviere; father, Louis Louviere; and a brother, Elmer Louviere.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, September 10 from 8 a.m. until time of service.
