Bond commission approves $69 million

BATON ROUGE - At the March 19, meeting of the State Bond Commission, $69 million in funding was approved for projects in southwest Louisiana, according to State Treasurer John Kennedy.

The bond approved the following that applies to Evangeline Parish:

•A $5 million certificate of indebtedness (taxable QZAB) for the Evangeline Parish School Board to rehabilitate schools and facilities, purchase equipment and develop course materials for education to be provided at the Qualified Zone Academy.
