Rayne flag football

As announced by Rayne Recreation Director Randy Guidry, registration for the 2008 Flag Football season has begun at the Green Room as follows:

Aug. 12, 14, 19 and 21 between 5-6 p.m.

Aug. 16 and 23 between 9-10 a.m.

Registration can also be taken at City Hall Aug. 12-27 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Tryouts will be held at Kennedy Field on the following dates and times for the following age groups:

Boys Pee-Wee (6-8 years): Aug. 28 at 5:30 p.m.

Boys Peanut (9-11 years): Aug. 28 at 6:45 p.m.

The official release form must be signed by the parent/guardian and returned along with registration fee of $15 per participant.

Parental support is necessary for a productive flag football season. Parents are asked to volunteer their time to serve as a coach, assistant coach or referee for the flag football program.
