SLCC hosting express registration in Crowley

CROWLEY ­– South Louisiana Community College is making it easy for first-time students and returning students in Crowley to get a jumpstart in enrolling for Fall semester classes.

The college is hosting an Express Registration event at its Acadian Area campus in Crowley on Saturday, July 13. The event is a one-stop-shop for students, who will be able to apply for admissions, be advised on which classes to schedule, apply for financial aid, and meet with college faculty and staff.

The Saturday Express Registration will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. A final Express Registration will be July 20 at the Gulf Area campus in Abbeville.

Free hot dogs and drinks will be available and students enrolling will be able to enter for a chance to win prizes.

Student Services also is extending its weekday hours this summer. Each campus is open from 5 – 7 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays, for those students who cannot visit during regular business hours. Campuses will also be open on Saturdays from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Staff will be on campuses in Lafayette, Abbeville, Crowley, New Iberia, Opelousas, St. Martinville, and Ville Platte.

Fall semester classes are being offered in a variety of ways including traditional classroom settings, video conferencing, and online. Students can find courses and register for the Fall semester by selecting the “Class Schedule Search” tab within their LoLA accounts or at www.solacc.edu.
