VP City Court issues bench warrants
The following individuals failed to appear in the Ville Platte City Court.
Bench warrants have been issued by Judge Donald J. Launey Jr. for these individuals for their failure to appear in court on traffic tickets and other misdemeanor charges on September 8, 10, 17, 22, and 24.
•Bruce Fontenot, 422 Martin Luther King Drive, Ville Platte was charged with criminal damage to property.
•Calvin Fontenot, 213 Cypress St., Ville Platte, was charged with no rabies vaccination (two counts) and no insurance on dog (two counts).
•Chris Freeman, 3818 Charles St., Baton Rouge, was charged with disturbing the peace and contempt of court.
•Shumanda Jack, 121 E. Beauregard St., Ville Platte, was charged with no seat belt.
•Joseph John, 2394 Woodmen Drive, Ville Platte, was charged with disturbing the peace and contempt of court.
•Patrick Miller, 5178 N. Service Road, Opelousas, was charged with no seat belt.
•Tiffany Scott, 109 Demourelle St., Ville Platte, was charged with speeding and no driver’s license in possession.
•Brandy Tupper, 123 E. Oak St., Ville Platte, was charged with remaining after being forbidden, simple battery and contempt of court.
•Christopher Wilson, 1305 Peach St., Ville Platte, was charged with switched license plates, driving under suspension, no proof of insurance and contempt of court.
•Natasha Wilson, 1515 First Ave. 34, Kinder, was charged with driving under suspension, no insurance, failure to yield and contempt of court.
•Reginald Ben, 1219 Oak Alley, Ville Platte, was charged with no confinement, no insurance on dog and no rabies vaccination.
•Terrel Guillory, 713 Rozas St., Ville Platte, was charged with simple battery.
•Derrick Alfred, 607 Louisiana Ave., Bunkie, was charged with running a red light and no driver’s license.
•Debra Barlow, 411 E. Beech St., Ville Platte, was charged with issuing a worthless check (two counts) and contempt of court.
•Tonacie Deshon Crump, 1128 E. Overton St., Opelousas, was charged with improper parking and contempt of court.
•Royal Dixon, 7104 Hwy. 103, Washington, was charged with DWI (first offense).
•Cordell Edwards, 933 W. Long St., No. 48, Ville Platte, was charged with resisting arrest by flight and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
•Christopher Fontenot, 1207 Dossman Lake Road, St. Landry, was charged with DWI and contempt of court.
•Broderick Freeman, 1948 Boozoo St., Mamou, was charged with no proof of insurance and contempt of court.
•Randy Freeman, 214 E. Jefferson St., Ville Platte, was charged with resisting an officer and possession of marijuana.
•Elvina Lafleur, 114 E. Jackson St., Ville Platte, was charged with theft.
•Cheryl LeBlanc, 110 E. Jefferson St., Ville Platte, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, remaining after being forbidden (two counts) and disturbing the peace.
•Alonzo Paul Leday, 121 E. LaSalle St., Ville Platte, was charged with disturbing the peace.
•Douglas McKey, 1101 W. LaSalle St., Ville Platte, was charged with no driver’s license, no proof of insurance and expired inspection sticker.
•Hildegard McKoy, 123 E. Wilson St., Ville Platte, was charged with simple battery and disturbing the peace by fighting.
•Lannis Melvin, 421 W. Cypress St., Ville Platte, was charged with remaining after being forbidden, criminal trespassing, simple battery, theft and contempt of court.
•Freida Richard, 1093 Calvary Baptist Road, Ville Platte, was charged with disturbing the peace and contempt of court.
•Keelan Rose, 1317 Peach St., Ville Platte, was charged with expired inspection sticker.
•Mark Skinner, 149 Watson Lane, Opelousas, was charged with resisting an officer and disturbing the peace.
•Rogers Thomas, 916 North Stagg St., Ville Platte, was charged with obstructing a public passage.
•Shane Thomas, 425 Martin Luther King, Ville Platte, was charged with possession of marijuana (two counts) and contempt of court.
•Gerald Williams, 507 Allen St., Ville Platte, was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
•Tennille Willis, 1016 Jake Lane, Mamou, was charged with no child restraints (three counts).
•Galvis Ardoin, 313 N. Soileau St., Ville Platte, was charged with theft of goods.
•Tracy Chapman, 605 N. Soileau St., Ville Platte, was charged with remaining after being forbidden and contempt of court.
•Thomas Echols Jr., 1005 North Reed St., Ville Platte, was charged with disturbing the peace by appearing intoxicated.
•Remus Hack, 411 W. Hickory St., Ville Platte, was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
•Floyd Lewis, 114 E. Oak St., Ville Platte, was charged with disturbing the peace.
•Alonda Wyatte, 130 Fruge St., Eunice, was charged with disturbing the peace.
•Alquela Lee, 1123 N. Chataignier, No. 9, Ville Platte, was charged with reckless operation.
•Dennis McQueen, 7333 Hwy. 167 North, Ville Platte, was charged with failure to return rental equipment.
•Alan Thomas, 415 Fifth St., Mamou, was charged with disobeying a stop sign, DWI, hit and run and contempt of court.
•Latricia Fontenot, 814 W. Oak St., Ville Platte, was charged with disturbing the peace by fighting and contempt of court.
