Acadiana Festival of Life prayer breakfast held in Crowley

CROWLEY - The Acadiana Festival of Life women’s prayer breakfast was held at Fezzo’s Restaurant Saturday, March 6 2010 while the men held their prayer breakfast at Rice Palace.

Dr. Ezora Proctor and Ted Carmichael served as chairpersons for the breakfasts.

According to the chairpersons, the purpose of the breakfasts was to call Crowley and Acadiana residents to pray for the Acadiana Festival of Life Crusade and the needs of the community.

The prayer breakfast program consisted of worship, music, scripture reading, prayers and testimonials.

Minister Tanelle Welff of Cape Town, South Africa shared her testimony of deliverance. Ms. Michelle Harris and the Northside Assembly of God vocal band provided music during the breakfast. Ms. Betty Andrus presided over the event.

The prayer breakfast planning committee consisted of Dr. Ezora Proctor, Ted Carmichael, Jimmy Meche, Mrs. Laurita Pete, Mrs. Peggy Sandige, Mrs. Debbie Nolan, Ms. Gloria Hanks, Mrs. Suella Dugar, Mrs. Patsy Singley, Mrs. Karen Comeaux, Ms. Erin Kramer, Ms. Mollie Schexnider, Mrs. Joyce Leger, Mrs. Shelia Marshall, Ms. Betty Andrus, Dewey Leger, Jr., and Reverand James Proctor.

A prayer walk led by Outreach coordinator Bishop Louis Dugar and his team was held immediately after the prayer breakfast to offer prayers for families with special needs, the Festival of Life Crusade, the Acadia Parish Rice Arena, and salvation as well as spiritual renewal.

Everyone is invited to attend the Acadiana Festival of Life Crusade March 14-17, 2010 at the Acadia Parish Rice Arena in Crowley.
