Parents Attend Parental Workshop

A parent workshop was recently held at Central Rayne Kindergarten in the school cafeteria when parents learned about Common Core State Standards, the SRA program, report card skills, and DIBELS and AIMSweb testing. Antoinette Pete, Parent Involvement Coordinator, Caroline Scott and Virgie Pitre, Home School Liasons, provided each parent with file folder games, CDs with alphabet songs, and information on community resources. Also assisting with the workshop were Christy Higginbotham, principal, April Mixon, Instructional Assistant, and Kelly Nero, lead kindergarten teacher.
