Annual Mardi Gras Gala at The Gallery this Saturday night

This Saturday night The Gallery in Crowley will once again be filled with Mardi Gras merriment as the Crowley Art Association (CAA) hosts a night of revelry and fun.

The gala will introduce February’s show, which is a collection of Mardi Gras-themed art created by a wide variety of local artists.

The fun will start at 6 p.m., and guests can expect to enjoy gumbo and potato salad, Cajun music and festive artwork, as well a chance to meet and visit with the display artists.

The CAA invites the public to take part in the event, which, as always, is free.

This year’s Mardi Gras show will include a large number of works created by a number of artists, including Robert Baxter, Sylvia Broussard, Nita Cagle, Claire Decker, Virginia Duson, Lyn Fontenot, Faye Hoffpauer, Paula Jacobi, Edesse Leger, Rosslyn Moore, Yvonne Seneca-Foreman, Carol Trahan, Lou Trahan, Drewey Trumps and Phyllis Welch.

The Gallery is located at 222 N. Parkerson Ave. in Crowley. For more information, call 783-3747 or visit www.crowleyartgallery.com.

The Mardi Gras show will hang at The Gallery throughout the month of February, and the public is invited to view the artwork during regular Gallery hours – Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
