Peter John reigns as Troubadours’ King Richard Coeur de Lion LXII

 

The Krewe of Troubadours recently held its 62nd Annual Ball and Pageant, themed “Songs of the Troubadours” at the Frem Boustany Convention Center.

Reigning over the Feb. 22 festivities was Crowley native Peter Michael John, King Richard Coeur de Lion LXII. Peter is a graduate of Riverside Military Academy in Gainesville, Ga., and Louisiana State University. 

He and his brother, David, established La Pac manufacturing. Peter is a member of the First National Bank board of directors, Southwest Louisiana Community College Advisory Board and St. Michael Catholic Church. He is a former member of the Notre Dame Advisory Board and has been honored as the Grand Marshal of the International Rice Festival Parade and the Crowley Chamber of Commerce Businessman of the Year. Peter is married to the former Alexa Corman and they have three children, Alexander, Peter Max and Lucy Michael. He is “P. Daddy” to Luke and Alana Immel.

Francesca Anne Piccione, a student at St. Thomas More High School, served as Queen Berengaria of Navarre LXII.

Peter’s brother, David Mitchell John, was Sir Kenneth Knight of the Couchant Leopard. David has been named as the Crowley Chamber of Commerce Business Person of the Year and was the Grand Marshal of the International Rice Festival Parade in 2008. He and his wife, the former Aimee Banielle, have four children, Jordan, Mitchell, Montgomery and Barielle.

Sir Kenneth’s complement, Lady Edith of Aquitaine, was Teurlings Catholic High School student Rebecca Lillian Fontenot.

Isabelle Hanks and Mary Clair Thomas, both of Crowley, were proud to serve as heralds to King Richard. Isabelle is the daughter of Mollie and Bobby Hanks, and Mary Clair is the daughter of Sharon and Ira Thomas.
