Portrait of King Cimmer LVIX and his Queen unveiled at Town Club

King Cimmer LVIX Gilles Piron, his Queen Sandi Doré and members of the 2014 “Notoriously Cimmer” Court gathered at the Crowley Town Club on Thursday, June 19, for the official King and Queen picture hanging.

Captain of the Krewe of Town Revelers, Hank Capel, provided historical background about the picture hanging event, after which a toast to the court was made by Tommy McNeely, president of the Crowley Town Club King and Queen’s Association. The large number of Town Club members in attendance enjoyed visiting and viewing a DVD of the ball.

Judy Guillot, director of the 2015 Krewe of Town Reveler’s Carnival Ball, along with various committees, have already begun planning for the next ball, which will be held on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, at the Rice Festival Building in Crowley. The theme is currently under development and will be announced at a special event to be held in September at the Crowley Town Club.
