2013 Rice and Creole Cookery Contest winners announced

This year a total of 138 dishes were entered in the annual International Rice Festival Rice and Creole Cookery Contest held at the LSU AgCenter on Friday, Oct. 18.

Named as 2013 Chef de Riz was Michelle Puissegur, whose dish took first place in the Adult Rice and Seafood category.

Kallie Pitre, who took first place in the Children’s Rice and Seafood category, was named 2013 Junior Chef.
