Lyons, Davis announce Nov. wedding

Jimmy and Michelle Lyons of Jennings have announced the engagement of their daughter, Jeanne Michelle Lyons, to Amos Prosser Davis, son of Amos Hughes Davis and Laura Prosser of Baton Rouge.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late John and Ruby Lyons of Welsh, and Bubba and Lena Mae Oustalet of Jennings.

Ms. Lyons, a graduate of Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in mass communication from Louisiana State University, and she is presently employed as an editor at Country Living magazine and a contributor to Southern Living magazine.

The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Amos and Mary Elizabeth Orr Davis of Altoona, Pennsylvania, and Louise Belle Peterman Prosser and the late Dr. Charles Prosser of Baton Rouge.

Mr. Davis, a graduate of Episcopal High School, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction in philosophical theology from the University of Virginia before attending graduate and law school at Emory University. He is currently employed as an attorney for the Coca-Cola Company.  

The couple plans to wed this November.
