Afternoon bridal luncheon honors Miss Jade Guidry

The Rayne home of Robert and Karon Cook was the setting for a bridal luncheon held in honor of Jade Guidry, bride-elect of Brian Durio, both of Rayne.
Jade is the daughter of Pam Guidry and Danny Guidry, both of Rayne.
Brian is the son of Craig and Linda Durio of Rayne.
Hosting the mid-day courtesy were Karon Cook, Mary Katherine Broussard and Rosemary Cook.
The Cook home provided an elegant formal sitting area consisting of a four-course meal. The center of the table was adorned with an arrangement of fresh flowers of roses, orchids and greenery.
Guests enjoyed a luncheon of ceasar salad, chicken fettuccine, bacon-wrapped green beans, corn and crab soup served in a bread bowl, desserts and mimosas.
For the special occasion, Jade wore a sleeveless, navy blue chiffon dress accented at the knee in pink and white. She was presented a shoulder corsage of pink roses.
The honoree’s mother wore a short-sleeve black dress with scoop neckline, while her stepmother selected a sleeveless print maxi dress. The prospective groom’s mother wore a black and white mini-polk-a-dot dress topped with a black cardigan.
Special guests in attendance for the occasion were Pam Guidry, mother of the bride-elect; Lynette Guidry, stepmother of the bride-elect; Linda Durio, mother of the prospective groom; and wedding party members Danni Grace Meche, Mia Guidry and Britany Cormier.
Family members and guests attended the pre-nuptial event from the Rayne and Acadiana area.
Jade and Brian were married on Saturday, May 2, during a 6 p.m. ceremony at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne, followed by a reception at Point Aux Loup Springs Ballroom in Iota.
