Baby shower held for expectant mother LaGwen Miller

Expectant mother LaGwen Miller of Branch, sixth from left, was honored with a baby shower held at Levy Park in Crowley on the afternoon of Sunday, May 4. Miller, the former LaGwen Swearingen, is the daughter of Belinda Swearingen and Billy Swearingen, both of Crowley. She is married to father-to-be Kalem Miller, who is the son of Janet and Chester Miller of Branch. Hostesses for the shower included, from left, Angie Sellers, Terry Venezia, McKenzie Taylor, Tessa Miller, Janet Miller (paternal grandmother-to-be), Belinda Swearingen (maternal grandmother-to-be), Loucinda Perdomo, Amanda Romero, Brittany Jeffers, Gayla Pryor and Stephanie Laughlin. Also hosting the shower but not pictured were Olivia Bertrand, Heather Hanks, Diane Heinen, Estelle Jeffers, Naomi Jeffers, Rebecca Kibodeaux, Marilyn Lejeune and Taylor Miller. The birth of the Millers’ new baby girl, Ava Leigh, is expected on June 12, and she will join her two brothers.
