Brunch-time luncheon honors Anna Rebecca LeBlanc

A noon bridal shower was held Sunday, July 20, in Houston, Texas, in honor of Anna Rebecca LeBlanc, bride-elect of Rabis Nickson, both of Houston.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Norma LeBlanc and Harold LeBlanc of Rayne.

The prospective groom is the son of Vergie Goffney of San Diego, Calif.

Hosting the noon brunch/lunch social were Anna’s sisters, Rose Porter, Geralynn, Colomb and Michele Pierre.

Guests were served grits and shrimp, chicken and waffles, bacon, pan sausage, scrambled eggs, chicken salad with croissant rolls, pasta salad, sweet and spicy meatballs with sausage, veggie tray, fruit tray, deviled eggs and dessert of white cupcakes decorted with pink flowers.

“Laissez les Bon Temps Rouler” was the theme for the bridal courtesy and carried a color theme of black and white with a touch of hot pink.

For the special occasion, Anna wore a hot pink chiffon skirt topped with a white “Bride-To-Be” tank top and black summer jacket.

The bride-elect’s mother selected a sleeveless black chiffon dress.

Approximately 55 guests and family members were in attendance from points of Texas, Louisiana and California.

Anna and Rabis will be married on Saturday, September 6, 2014, during a 5 p.m. ceremony at Abundant Life Assembly of God in Rayne, followed by a wedding reception at the Rayne Civic Center Ballroom.
