Crow fêted with baby shower

Family and friends of Mary Dupuis Crow gathered to celebrate the upcoming birth of her child with a baby shower held in Crowley on Saturday, Dec. 6.

Mary, who is originally from Crowley, is married to Brian Crow, and the two live in West Monroe.

Mary and Brian are expecting a baby boy on Feb. 18, 2015.

Mary’s parents, and the maternal grandparents-to-be, are Danna and Darren Dupuis of Shreveport. Willie Crow of Mer Rouge is the paternal grandparent-to-be.

The shower was hosted  by Erica Simon, sister of the mother-to-be; Renee Spell, friend of the mother-to-be; and Lisa Dupuis, aunt of the mother-to-be.

The house where the shower was held was decorated in a variety of shades of blue, as was the shower cake.

Guests enjoyed refreshments provided by the mother-to-be’s family.

For the shower, Mary selected a maroon wrap-around dress, and she was presented with a corsage of white sweetheart roses accented with blue baby’s breath.

Mary’s mother chose a light blue top paired with light blue and navy pants. Her corsage was made of a hand-knitted baby bootie with blue scrunch accents.

Approximately 20 guests were in attendance at the shower, with Mary travelling from West Monroe and her parents travelling from Shreveport for the event. 

The expectant couple has not yet decided on a name for the baby, who will be welcomed by his older sister, Cyndal Crow.
