2 Crowley juveniles indicted in April incident

Chief KP Gibson reports that two Crowley juveniles have been indicted by a grand jury as adults regarding an attempted murder investigation. 

The incident occurred on April 26, 2014 in the 1200 block of Jacobs Avenue.

“During the initial investigation, multiple rounds were fired into a residence which was occupied by five people. Police believed at the time of this incident, that the two juvenile suspects were involved, yet did not have probable cause to arrest them,” stated Gibson.

Approximately one week later, both suspects were located and discovered to be carrying semi-automatic handguns concealed on their person. Both suspects were arrested for illegal possession of firearms and other charges. 

“Our officers sent the weapons along with evidence to the Acadiana Crime Lab for ballistic testing. After the testing was completed, we were advised that the weapons matched the physical evidence from the April 26 shooting scene,” stated Gibson.

On Aug. 12, an Acadia Parish grand jury indicted Jamurick Robinson, 15, of Crowley and Bryan Jones, 16, of Crowley, as adults, for five counts of attempted second degree murder. Both Robinson and Jones have been arrested and booked into the Acadia Parish Jail. 

In connection with this investigation, Pandora Robinson of Crowley and Tameka Jones of Crowley have been booked into the Acadia Parish Jail for improper supervision of a minor.

“Our officers did not quit on this case and pursued it to the end. I am proud of their hard work for the citizens of our community,” stated Gibson.
