Notre Dame made its return to the soccer pitch this year and is looking to close out the season by scoring one more goal.
On Friday, Feb. 27, the team will take on school alumni, parents and faculty members in a special soccer match at 6 p.m. that will serve as a fundraiser.
The team is looking to give back to one of their own – Judy Kibodeaux, a cafeteria employee – who is battling colon cancer. The funds raised that night will help her family with medical costs.
There will be a $3 minimum donation gate fee for the event and nachos, popcorn, candy, homemade goodies and drinks will be sold.
The game is a family-friendly event.
Also, if you think you have what it takes to the Pios, you can join the alumni, parents and faculty team to test your skills on the soccer pitch, or, in this case, the Notre Dame Practice Field. There is no cost to join the team. If you are interested, contact Mandy Miller at the school at 783-7143 or at mmiller@ndpios.com for more information.
