Funeral services were held on Monday, Sept. 26, at 2 p.m. at Gossen Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne for Gerald James Martin, 58, who died Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016.
Interment was in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2 in Rayne.
Rev. Mitchell Semor was the celebrant of the Funeral Service.
Survivors include his daughter, Jerrika Kindoer; father, James Louis Martin and wife Belinda; brother, Chris Jude Martin and wife Bonnie; uncle, Eugene “Gene” Cahanin and wife Sheila; aunt, Zora Boudreaux; uncle, Edwis Edward Martin; six cousins, Brunella Lantier and husband Kenneth, Kevin Cahanin and wife Ann, Kyle Cahanin, Keene Cahanin and wife Chasity, Wilfred Johnson and wife Brenda, and Kent Johnson and wife Judy.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nabbie Cahanin; sister, Vicky Martin Comeaux; brother, Bryan Martin; and two aunts, Rose Johnson and Lucy Martin.
Visitation was observed in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne on Monday Sept. 26, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
