Russell Cryer is family man, business man, blessed

CROWLEY – Russell Anthony Cryer was born in Crowley January 16, 1966 to the late Casey and Mary Cryer. He was nine years younger than his siblings, Kathy and Casey. He attended St. Michael’s and graduated from Notre Dame in 1984 and USL in 1989. He moved, but returned to Lafayette in 1991 when he began working in the oil and gas business and married Charlotte Busch in 1995. After having their first baby, the couple started Caroline and Co., a 6500 square foot retail shop, successful in its 14th year and named after their first daughter. Russell and Charlotte also have a son, William, and daughter, Anna Catherine.

Russell currently travels to Texas and North Dakota, representing his company, Safety Management Systems. He also plays golf, hunts, travels and particularly enjoys attending sporting events.

“I take pride in the fact that I grew up in Crowley,” said Russell. “I wouldn’t change my childhood. It was great. I have fond memories of fun at the Crowley Recreation Department, playing sports at Notre Dame and driving up and down Nth Parkerson.”

He and Charlotte, active with their kids, are members of Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist Parish, although they attend mass regularly at various Catholic churches in Lafayette.
