The Lady Wolves Volleyball Team has had some ups and downs during the past week, splitting their wins and losses.

In district play, Rayne captured wins over Church Point and Northwest, but dropped close contests to Iota and Sam Houston, bringing their overall record to 25-11 and 9-8 in district.

The Lady Wolves were slated to meet Northwest and Teurlings this week when they will try to improve their district slate.

Pink Game Slated

The Annual Pink Game (Volley For A Cure) will see the Lady Wolves host Sacred Heart of Grand Goteau on Oct. 30 in order to help promote breast cancer awareness.

As they have in the past, the Lady Wolves are raising funds for the cause, “National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.”

The team is also selling “Volley For The Cure” t-shirts and for a $50 donation, anyone can have their name or business placed on the back of the shirt. The front of the shirt will have the team’s logo and the back will have all $50 sponsors. The shirts will be pink and sponsors will receive one free shirt, and two admissions into the game.

“Pink” t-shirts are also available for purchase by the general public.

For more information, contact Stephanie Garrett at 337-581-0144.  If sending a check, please make payable to Rayne High Volleyball and mailed to Stephanie Garrett at Rayne High School 1016 North Polk Street, Rayne, LA 70578. Someone will pick-up sponsor checks by contacting the number above.

The Pink Game begins at 4 p.m. A ceremony to recognize all Survivors and to remember loved-ones lost to cancer will be held prior to the game. Door prizes will be distributed and  other competitions and activities will be enjoyed.
