Aggravated incest charged

A disabled Eunice man faces a minimum of 25 years in prison if convicted on his indictment for allegedly committing aggravated incest against a juvenile.

Clifford James Pousson, 69, was arrested in April after a sheriff’s investigation of allegations he had sexually abused a girl under age 13 while she visited him in his trailer on North 2nd St.

Pousson, as first reported by eunicetoday.com, was arrested on April 21 and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, indecent behavior with a juvenile, two counts of oral sexual battery, two counts of sexual battery and aggravated incest.

He was indicted Monday by a St. Landry Parish grand jury on the incest charge, which is now an umbrella charge for other child-related offenses.

The minimum sentence for the crime is 25 years; the maximum is life in prison.
