Alfred Paul “Peanut” Miller

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, Dec. 5, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Crowley, for Alfred Paul “Peanut” Miller, 51, who died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011, at 11:28 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.

Mr. Miller proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Father Jared Suire, associate pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, officiated for the services.

The family requested visiting hours Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Monday from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.

A rosary was recited Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Woodlawn Mausoleum.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Connie Alleman Miller of Crowley; his mother, Betty Clement Miller of Egan; one sister, Denise M. Huval of Egan; and one brother, Keith Miller of Crowley.

“Peanut” was preceded in death by his father, Milton Merlyn Miller.

Pallbearers were Marshall Huval, Tyler Prejean, Kenneth Boehme, Michael Wayne Guidry, Charlie Pernice, and Erin Alleman.
