Violet Persephone Choate

Jonathan and Amanda Choate (née Hart) of Lafayette announce the birth of their first child, a daughter, Violet Persephone Choate.

Violet was born at Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Lafayette on September 6, 2014 at 10 p.m. 

At birth, she weighed 7 pounds, 8 ounces, and measured 20 inches in length.

Her maternal grandparents are Dennis and Carolyn Hart of Mire. 

Paternal grandparents are Melanie Choate of Branch, and Hank and Liz Choate of Baton Rouge.

Her godparents are her aunt, Shannon Hart of Duson, and Kevin Bellard of Church Point.
