Parent Training Day Held at Central Rayne KIndergarten

Central Rayne Kindergarten recently hosted a parenting training for Pre-K parents, a coordinated effort between school and parish personnel.

 

The program focused on ELA and math instructional strategies to use at home to assist students with new Common Core State Standards, preventative treatments for childhood illnesses, healthy snack options, and information on the importance of regular attendance.

 

Parents were provided with flash cards, “make and take” folder games, and a skills practice book along with the crayons, glue, and other materials to work with their children at home.

 

Taking part in the program were Martha Wilridge, Gail Foreman, Virgie Pitre (APSB Home-School Liasons), Adrianne Vidrine, APSB Child Nutrition Supervisior, Antoinette Pete, APSB Parental Involvement Coordinator, Christy Higginbotham, CRK Principal, April Mixon, CRK Instructional Assistant, Natalie Froelich, School Nurse, and Monica Dailey, School Counselor.
