Rayne High physics class places first at ULL

 

On March 26, 2014 Mrs. Allyson Romero’s Physics class participated in the University of Lousiana at Lafayette’s Engineering and Technology Expo.

Students competed in various engineering competitions such as the Balsa Wood Bridge construction and Mystery Design Competition.

Rayne High School placed first in the Mystery Design Competion with team members Zach Toten, Kameron Falcon, and Skyler Choplin.

Students also construced a Balsa Wood Bridge that sucessfully held 400 pounds of weight before breaking.

Participants were Kalie Mueck, Katelyn LeDoux, Aaron Curtrer, David Austin Guidry, Andrew Granger, Kameron Falcon, Casey Breaux, Skyler Choplin; standing second row, Mathew McIntyre, Peyton Larry and Anthony Lentini, along with teacher/instructor Allyson Romero.
