STUDENT ART WORK AWARDED

The Jindal family has dedicated one wall of the Governor’s Mansion to Louisiana children’s artwork. Every month a new group of artwork is displayed to pay tribute to our state’s young artists. Central Rayne Kindergarten student Gabrielle Hawkins recently visited the Governor’s Mansion in Baton Rouge with her family to view her artwork which was on display the entire month of February. Gabrielle’s drawing depicts her version of happiness and love through her colorful flowers and hearts. It was drawn last school year when she was a pre-k student in Mrs. Angie Bourgeois’s class. Gabrielle’s parents are Thadius and Ashley Hawkins.
