Crowley Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Cotillion

On Saturday, March 22, Crowley Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority sponsored its annual Spring Cotillion.

The program began with greetings from the Sorority's President, Mrs. Evelyn Julian, followed by introduction of chapter members and visiting Greeks by Mrs. Joycie Green. The Master of Ceremonies, Mr. Donovan Morris, was introduced by Mrs. Vicky Milson. The Promenade of the 2007 Queen and King, Ms. Jasmine Mills and Mr. Nicholas Dugar followed. The Master of Ceremonies then introduced the 2008 Debutantes, Beau, Parents, and Escorts. The presentation, coronation, and promenade of the 2008 King and Queen, Mr. Ricky Jennings, Jr. and Ms. Tamera Hayes followed. Mr. Thaddeus Nolan provided entertainment to the royal court and the Debutantes and Beau followed the presentation of awards and gifts by the 2008 Cotillion Chairpersons, Ms. Shavon Ardoin, Dr. Patricia Douglas, and Mrs. Vicky Milson. The Debutantes and Beaux then performed the Cotillion dance, which was coreographed by Ms. Lynette Robinson of Lafayette.

The Master of Ceremonies then gave the royal toast to the Debutantes and Beaux followed by the closing Cotillion Waltz by Debutantes, Beau and Parents.

The 2008 Royal Court consisted of King Ricky Jennings, Jr., Queen Tamera Hayes, 1st Princess O'Shanna Franklin, 2nd Princess, Taniqua Franklin, Debutantes, Tanisha Francis, Nakiva Gibson, Kellie Nelson, and Allison Thomas. Beau, Gavin Fruge' and Malcolm Richard.
