A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 3, 2010 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for James Keith Guidry, 48, who died June 1, 2010 in Mamou.

Fr. Gary Schexnayder will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. to the time of service. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

He is survived by his parents, Murphy and Martha Broussard Guidry of Crowley; one son, Dustin Guidry of Crowley; his fiancée Cathy Melancon of Eunice; one sister, Peggy Guidry Touchet and her husband Joseph of Crowley; one nephew, Timothy Roy of Crowley; one niece, Angela Roy Gage and her husband Mike of Roundrock, Texas; and two great-nephews, Lantz Thibodeaux and Nathan Gage.

Mr. Guidry is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Leonce and Rosita Broussard; and his paternal grandparents, Ozone and Louise Guidry.
