Janet O'Brien Rozas

Services for Janet O’Brien Rozas will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 19, 2008 in the chapel of Hixson Brothers in Alexandria with Dr. Lee Weems and Reverend Chris Thacker officiating with vocalist Jamie Green. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Eunice.

Pallbearers will be Butch Mackey, Kenneth Ervin, Corey Duos, Justin Murphy, Gabriel Francois, and Justin Francois. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Rozas, Nippy Blair, and Robert Region.

Mrs. Rozas, 67, of Alexandria, died Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at Riverside Hospital in Alexandria.

She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church for over 50 years and a member of Cenla Civitan Auxiliary.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert John Rozas; and parents, Raleigh O'Brien and Ruth Francois O’Brien.

Survivors include her sons, Byron Rhett Rozas and Kayla Devos, and Robin Paul Rozas and wife, Lisa, all of Alexandria; daughter, Stephanie Renee Winegeart and husband, Anthony, of Gardner; sister, Judith O’Brien Tidwell and husband, Jeff, of Opelousas; niece and nephew, Jana Kay Tidwell of Pineville and Jay Mark Tidwell and wife, Christine, of Opelousas; six grandchildren, Colin Rozas, Jared Rozas, Justin Murphy, Emily Winegeart, Sarah Winegeart, and Lauren Winegeart; and grandnieces and a nephew, Chasidy Tidwell, Jacie Tidwell, and Corey Duos.

Visitation will be from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. today and from 8:00 a.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
