Jindal makes Motor Vehicle Commission appointments

Donna Corley, owner of Shetler Corley Motors in Crowley, and Don Hargroder, president of Courtesy Automotive Group, Abbeville, are among 11 new appointees to the Louisiana Motor Vehicle Commission.

Gov. Bobby Jindal announced the appointments and four re-appointments.

The MVC regulates and licenses motor vehicle manufacturers, distributers, dealers, and leasers. All members are appointed by the governor and subject to Senate confirmation. Ray Brandt will serve as chairman.

The reappointments:

Alexis Hocevar, of New Orleans, Price Leblanc, Jr., of Metairie, Arthur Tait, of Shreveport, and Cloid White, of Winnsboro.

Other new appointments:

Landon Allen, of Kenner, recent purchasing director for the city of Kenner.

Mark Boniol, of Lake Charles, president of Mark Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep

Frank Borne, of Gretna, has worked in the Clerk of Court’s Office in Jefferson Parish since 1994.

Ray Brandt, of Metairie, is CEO of Ray Brandt Automotive Group.

Troy Duhon, of Slidell, owner and operator of Premier Honda and Nissan and Premier Kia.

Maurice Guidry, of Cut Off, owner and general manager of Golden Motors. He is a former member of the Commission.

Dallas Hixson, of Alexandria, general manager of Hixson Autoplex.

Joyce LaCour, of Gonzales.

Kent Richards, of Baton Rouge, owner and president of Richard’s Honda and co-owner of Hollingsworth Richard’s Group.
