JOSEPH “J.J.’’ HEBERT SAVOY, JR.

EUNICE – Visitation for Joseph “J.J.’’ Hebert Savoy, Jr., age 30, will be at Greater Outreach Church from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with funeral services following at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2008 with Pastor Luke Johnson officiating. Interment will be in the Honey Bee Cemetery in Eunice.

Mr. Savoy, a resident of Eunice, passed away at 11:00 p.m. Sunday, June 8, 2008.

Survivors include his wife, Trinette Savoy of Las Vegas, NV; one son, Jabarie Savoy of Las Vegas, NV; two daughters, Kalea Savoy and Dejona Savoy, both of Las Vegas, NV; his mother, Mary Frances Savoy of Eunice; one brother, Upendra “Yatt’’ Savoy; three sisters, Trivella Savoy, and Myoshi Godfrey, both of Eunice, and Patricia Savoy of Lafayette.

Mr. Savoy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph Vallarie and Aurelia Vallaire, John Savoy and Clementine Savoy; father, Joseph Hebert Savoy Sr; three uncles and four aunts.

Pallbearers will be Francis Frank, Jr., Guan Guillory, Horace Pickney Jr., Robert Gallow, Kurn Semien, and Lewis Thomas.

EUNICE – Visitation for Rev. Samson Ray Robinson, Sr., age 66 will be at New Zion Baptist Church, 251 Nimitz St., Eunice, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with funeral services following at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2008 with Rev. Allen W. Ben officiating. Interment will be in the Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas.

Mr. Robinson passed away Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 12:20 p.m. in Opelousas General Hospital.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Jean Wills Robinson of Opelousas; one daughter, LaSandra Denise Robinson of Opelousas; four brothers: Thonius Robinson, Jr. of Baker, Rev. Roland Robinson Sr., of Richmond, TX, Solomon Robinson Sr., and Donald Robinson, Sr., both of Washington, LA; four sisters: Cleo Robinson Verrett of Thibodeaux, Martha Robinson Johnson of New Orleans, Doretha Robinson Johnson and Latanya Robinson of Houston, TX.

Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Thonius and Hinda Robinson; one brother, Eddie Roy Robinson; two sisters, Elsie Mae Robinson, and Mary Robinson Mitchell.

Pallbearers will be Rev. Jarvis J. Claiborne, Kevin D. Robinson, Christopher J. Fontenot, Alton Celestine Jr., John Alfred, and Paul Anthony Robertson.
