Lester Lee Bias

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 12, 2012, at 11 a.m. in Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Branch, with Pastor Craig Gregory officiating, for Lester Lee Bias, 52, who died July 17, 2012, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.

Interment will be in the Mount Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery with benediction offered by Pastor Gregory.

He was born June 15, 1960, to the late Mabel Chevis Bias Morrison and Nat Bias.

He was a lifelong resident of Rayne. He accepted Christ at an early age and was an outgoing person who enjoyed life and loved to share.

He leaves to cherish his memories one daughter, Labreka Coleman-Morris (Jamon); Shreveport; one grandson, Jamon Morris, Jr., Shreveport; a longtime friend and companion of 30 years, Loretta Julian, Rayne; two sisters, Gloria B. Alex and Rita B. Logan (Allen), both of Rayne; one brother, Martin Bias (Chandrekia, Rayne; a loving stepfather, Joseph “LP” Morrison, Duson; one aunt, Isama Hawkins, New Roads; a special cousin acknowledged like a mother, Agnes Minix, Rayne; four nieces, Akura Logan, Shamara Young, Ja’Twila Alex, and Taylor Bias, all of Rayne; three nephews, Malcolm Malbrough, Ja’Sirus Alex, and Dontray Leopold, all of Rayne; one great-niece, A’Lajah Espree, Rayne; two godchildren, Ja’Sirus and Javier Hamilton; and special friends, Allen Leopold, Norris Julian and Jud White.

Pallbearers will be Malcolm Malbrough, Alvin Minix, Jr., Jason Chevis, Allen Leopold, Greg Minix, and Nelson Bias.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Morrison, Jamon Morris, Sr., Ja’Sirus Alex, Norris Julian, Dontray Leopold, Jamon Morris, Jr., Martin Bias and Javier Hamilton.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Wilturner Funeral Home of Crowley.
