Scenes from The Gallery: Robert Baxter’s Sept. 6 gala opening

Visitors at the Crowley Art Association’s Saturday, Sept. 6, gala opening for Robert Baxter’s current show, “Works,” enjoyed good art, good food and good company.

A lively crowd was on hand for the event, which included Baxter’s unveiling of a painting in memory of the late Imogene LaCour, to be donated by him to the Crowley Garden Club.

Baxter’s show will  hang at The Gallery in Crowley through the end of the month.

The Gallery is located at 222 N. Parkerson Ave. in Crowley and is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

For more information call The Gallery at 783-3747.

Editor’s Note: The preview of this show included in the Sept. 3 edition of the Crowley Post Signal should have listed the beginning of Baxter’s tenure as CAA president as 2010.
