Andrus, Wied to wed April 17 in Lafayette

Mr. and Mrs. David Whitcomb Andrus of Lafayette are proud to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Tyler Elizabeth Andrus, to Mr. William Robert Wied, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Edward Wied of Pearland, Texas.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. Dwight Wilbur Andrus Jr. of Lafayette and the late Nedra Ferne Reed Andrus, and Mr. William Charles Broadhurst and the late Mary Jane Gates Romero.

Tyler is a 2008 graduate of Saint Thomas More High School and attended the Manship School of Mass Communication at Louisiana State University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in mass communications. She is employed with Swift Worldwide Resources as an account manager in Houston, Texas.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Fred Wied of Pearland, and Mr. and Mrs. Noel Quentin Blakely of New Orleans. William is a 2008 graduate of Saint Thomas More High School and studied at the University of Houston, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in economics. He is employed as a financial analyst with M. D. Anderson in Houston.

The couple will be united in marriage on Friday, April 17, 2015, at 7 p.m. at the Cathedral of Saint John the Evangelist in Lafayette.
