Gardiner, Dupuis united in Oct. 25 Nuptial Mass

Madeline Noel Gardiner and Lance Joseph Dupuis, both of Youngsville, were united in holy matrimony on the evening of Saturday, Oct. 25.

Fr. Kendall Faulk celebrated the 6 p.m. Nuptial Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne. 

The bride is the daughter of Shawne Gielen Gardiner and Todd Gerald Gardiner I, both of Crowley. Her maternal grandparents are Peggy and John Dan Gielen of Crowley. Her paternal grandparents are Norma Lee Gardiner of Rayne and the late James Gardiner.

Madeline is a 2007 graduate of Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish and a 2010 graduate of the Aveda Esthiology Program. She is the owner of Joie de Vivre Salon & Spa in Lafayette.

The groom is the son of Mona Sarver Dupuis and Leroy Joseph Dupuis, both of Crowley. He is the grandson of Sybil and Larry Sarver of Crowley, and of Adolph Dupuis of Crowley and the late Marie Dupuis.

Lance graduated from Crowley High School in 2004 before attending Nicholls State University, where he played baseball and earned a bachelor’s degree in general studies in 2009.

Guests were ushered to their seats by Todd Gerald Gardiner II, Gabriel Gardiner and Alexander Gardiner, brothers of the bride.

Musical selections for the ceremony were provided by Kip Faulk.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Sarah Miller Mitchell, friend of the bride, served as matron of honor, and Lauren Gardiner, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor.

Attending Madeline as bridesmaids were her sister, Sumar Gardiner Griffith; friends, Allison Butler Citron, Elise Webb Leonards, Lindsey Boulet and Sarah Trowbridge; and sisters of the groom, Paige Dupuis and Faith Dupuis.

Flower girls were Penelope Gardiner, Lilly Griffith and Nadia Gardiner, all nieces of the bride, and Eisley Reilley and Julia Griffith, nieces and goddaughters of the bride.

The groom selected his brother, Tyler Dupuis, to serve as best man.

Standing as groomsmen were Alan Primeaux, Lance Roy, Frank Cuccio, Jeremiah Chambers, Brett Cook, Keenon Leger and Ryan Richard, all friends of the groom.

Kayden Dupuis and Abram Daigle, nephews of the groom, shared the duties of ring bearer.

Selected scriptures were read by Heidi Viator, godmother of the bride, and Edward Dartez, godfather of the groom.

Offertory gifts were presented by Heather Spallino and Lindsey Rogers, friends of the bride.

Following the ceremony, the newlywed couple was joined by family and friends at a reception held at Le Grand Hall in Crowley.

Madeline and Lance will make their home in Youngsville.
