Reed, Meche engaged to be wed in Crowley

Cynthia Clement Saxton of Crowley and Scott Edward Reed Sr. of Rayne are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Madeleine Elizabeth Reed of Crowley, to Bryant Zachary Meche, also of Crowley.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Charles Clement of Crowley and the late Dorothy Heffner Clement, and of the late Janet and Hubert Reed of Rayne.

Madeleine is a 2008 graduate of Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish and is presently a student at the University of Lafayette at Louisiana, where she is studying petroleum engineering.

The prospective groom is the son of Kathleen Primeaux Meche and Jeffery Meche of Iota. His maternal grandparents are the late Tester and Otis Primeaux, and his paternal grandparents are Linda and Russell Meche, all of Crowley.

Bryant is a 2006 graduate of Iota High School and is currently employed by Halliburton.

The couple will be wed on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, during a 7 p.m. ceremony officiated by Fr. Mikel Polson at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Crowley.

Following their marriage, the newlyweds will reside in Crowley.
