Sellers, Dunlap to wed Jan. 17 at Immaculate Heart of Mary

Christa Eileen Sellers and Scott Alexander Dunlap II, both of Houston, Texas, have announced their engagement and commitment to be wed on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cyrus J. Sellers Jr. of Crowley. Her maternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. George W. Luther Jr. of Crowley, and her paternal grandparents are Mrs. Agnes Sellers of Lafayette and the late Mr. Cyrus J. Sellers.

A graduate of Crowley High School and Louisiana State University, Christa is presently employed by the Liberty Group.

The prospective groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Dunlap of Destrehan. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Somme’ Jr. of Des Allemands, and of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Dunlap of Destrehan.

Scott, who graduated from Destrehan High School and Louisiana State University, is employed by Sanchez Oil and Gas.

Fr. Matthew Higginbotham will officiate the couple’s nuptials at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Crowley.

Following their wedding, Christa and Scott will reside in Houston.
