Souriya, Albarado set to wed Saturday, Dec. 13

Viphone Souriya of New Iberia and Mathew Albarado of Crowley have announced their engagement and commitment to be wed on the afternoon of Saturday, Dec. 13.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Kim Khamhou Souriya of Glenmora and the late Seng Souriya.

Viphone is a 2003 graduate of Westgate High School and attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology in 2007 and a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing in 2012. She is presently employed in the emergency department of St. Martin Hospital.

The prospective groom is the son of Arlene and Michael John Albarado of Crowley. 

He graduated from Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish in 2006 before enrolling at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing in 2012. Mathew is also employed at St. Martin Hospital in the emergency department.

Father Louis J. Richard will officiate the couple’s 2 p.m. ceremony at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Broussard.

Following their wedding, the newlyweds will reside in Crowley.
