2014 NAUW Royalty Pageant results announced

 

The National Association of University Women, Crowley Branch, held its 33rd annual Royalty Pageant at Ambassador Ministries in Crowley on the evening of Saturday, May 10. The theme for this year’s event was “Diamonds Are Precious and Rare.”

Hilda Jones presided over the event as the mistress of ceremonies. After the members of the 2013 royal court were recognized by Cheryl Lewis, Myrtle Cain introduced the 2014 pageant contestants.

Following the presentation of “Talent Alive” by Keiasha Benoit, the Grand Coronation was conducted by Betty Gums, Meridian Vallery and Dr. Michelle Calloway.

Named to the 2014 royal court were Malia Mott, Miss Tiny Tot NAUW, daughter of Tamara and Marco Mott; A’Myree Symone Boutte, first runner-up, Miss Tiny Tot NAUW, daughter of Symone Boutte and Travis Hawkins; Emily Clair Morgan, second runner-up, Miss Tiny Tot NAUW, daughter of Tiffany and Joey Broussard; Tyson Lamon Winbush Jr., Master Tiny Tot NAUW, son of Morgan LeJeune and Tyson L. Winbush Sr.; Ja’Niyah Ra’Von Moore, Little Miss NAUW, daughter of Yvonne Mouton and Jonathan Moore; Da Juan Maxwell, Little Master NAUW, son of Sierra Johnson; Lemuel Jones, Master NAUW, son of Hilda Jones; and Destiny Zoe Jones, Miss NAUW, daughter of Hilda Jones.

Camrin Robinson, Eria Robinson and Khaelin Sampson of Tip Tap Toe School of Dance performed in tribute to the new royal court.

Following the event, the attendees enjoyed a Green and White Reception hosted by the NAUW, Crowley Branch, members.
