Acadia Players to offer summer poetry workshop

This summer, the Acadia Players will be trying something new with a poetry workshop, “Unlock the Poet within You,” scheduled for June 22-26.
The workshop is open to children 8 years of age and older, as well as to adults, and will include instruction on writing poetry, the creation of a workshop anthology and a poetry reading and reception.
The cost of the workshop is $25, which covers all materials and a copy of the class anthology.
Space is restricted, so pre-registration is encouraged. Enrollment is limited to the first 15 persons to apply and pay their fees, and the deadline is June 20. Later registration will be accepted if space is available.
The workshop will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. daily at the Acadia Parish Center for the Arts & Culture, located at 530 W. Mill St. in Crowley.
