Afternoon bridal social honors Kasey Chaumont

RAYNE - The Zaunbrecher home served as the setting on Saturday, March 15, 2014, for a bridal shower held in honor of Kasey Darlene Chaumont, bride-elect of Chad Andrepont, both of Eunice.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Greg and Lisa Chaumont of Eunice.

The prospective groom is the son of Chet and Teresa Andrepont of Lafayette.

Hosting the afternoon social were the bride-elect’s aunts, Elsie Lane, Naomi Reed, Bridget Joseph and Elizabeth Zaunbrecher.

The Zaunbrecher home was decorated with a bridal theme for the special event, complete with a white bridal wreath, and antique tablecloths with overlays of crochet and organza.

Guests were served a variety of refreshments and fingerfoods, in addition to punch, champagne, coffee, and a special white shower cake filled with raspberry amaretta and chocolate fudge trimmed with lace and pearls and adorned with an “A” initial topper.

For the special occasion, Miss Chaumont wore a, ivory and turquoise dress designed with a lace bodice and sweeping hemline.

The honoree’s mother wore a two-piece tangerine and ivory pants suit, and the prospective groom’s mother selected a black and blue pants suit.

Approixmately 35 guests attended the courtesy from Rayne, Crowley, New Iberia, Lafayette, Iowa, Iota, Breaux Bridge and Eunice.

Kasey and Chad were married on Saturday, March 29, during a 6:30 p.m. wedding ceremony at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice, followed by a reception held at the church hall.
